I'm a journalist in the San Francisco Bay Area covering local politics, law enforcement, housing, migration, and the independent art scene.

Formerly, I was a staff writer for the Vallejo Times-Herald and Vacaville Reporter. I've also contributed to publications affiliated with UC Davis and the Academy of Art University, as well as independent online platforms like An Injustice and Prism & Pen, and the nonprofit Leonard-Litz Foundation. Additionally, I've edited online content for Tripadvisor and Crisis Text Line, and produced digital content for the Better Business Bureau.
I obtained a master's degree in mass communications from San Diego State University, and a bachelor's degree in film and video from Columbia College Chicago. I grew up in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood and have spent years residing in San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Boston, and Philadelphia. When I'm not working, I enjoy training with my running group, watching stand-up comedy, and reading anything from memoirs to ethnographies to historical fiction.
